Getting there & getting around

Getting around

Please download the Rejsekort app (App Store / Google Play) before you travel. It works on all trains, the metro and buses in Copenhagen.

  1. Create an account and add your bank card before you fly.
  2. Swipe to check in before you board.
  3. Swipe to check out when you arrive. Don't forget this, or you may be charged more.

Travelling with others? You can add them to your journey in the same app.

From the airport to the hotel

You'll land at Copenhagen Airport (CPH). There are no airport pickups, so please make your own way to the hotel.

By train · about 35 minutes · recommended

  1. After collecting your luggage, follow the signs to the train station in Terminal 3.
  2. Check in on the Rejsekort app and take a train to Copenhagen Central Station (København H), about 15 minutes.
  3. Change to the S-train: line A (towards Solrød Strand) or line E (towards Køge).
  4. Get off at Sydhavn station, two stops later.
  5. The hotel is about a 3-minute walk away. Check out on the app when you leave the train.

Taxis wait outside the arrivals hall. Please use the official taxi rank and book on your own.

At check-in, please have a credit card ready. The hotel places a temporary security hold on it; nothing will be charged.

Please be in the lobby on time. Ceremonies at City Hall run to a strict schedule, and we can't start late.

Money

Denmark uses the Danish krone (DKK), not the euro. Cards are accepted almost everywhere, so you won't need much cash.

Weather

Copenhagen in November is cold, windy and often wet. Bring a warm coat and an umbrella.

Plugs

Standard European two-pin plugs. Bring an adapter if you're coming from Nigeria or the UK.
